no kids yet, the carnival was in town and decided to take this girl I had recently met and have some fun. It wasn't that bad before losing the money I went on a couple rides and won a teddy bear and a goldfish.

It was one of those games where you drop 2 pieces of blocks into a board and the numbers you get determine the action or how many points you get. 100 points wins a 42 inch tv. Anyways it was $5 a go and on my first 2 tries I got 10 points. And then I kept getting low numbers not winning anything. Then I finally got an 11 which he said was a special number and for every 11 I rolled he would add $200 to the prize pool but I would need to pay double to keep playing so it was $10 a go now. Anyways I'm thinking I'm invested deep enough already where I can't stop playing. I should also mention he had a a *********** machine as well so you can pay via CC. Anyways 20 minutes later I'm paying $160 a go and playing for a 42 inch tv and $1000, and I'm up to 65 points. I finally came to my senses after playing for another 10 minutes and blowing a ton more and finally being forced to pay $320 per go. The thing is the guy would not let me count after each drop and he would quickly count up the points and pick up the blocks. The guy actually said I can come back later to keep playing and gave me a receipt with my accumulated points. I literally got robbed in mid daylight and nothing I can do about it.

What was the name of the carnival and what state was it in.

most states will not allow you set up a flat store it carries prison time,however
in states like NY,Florida,also Purto rico allow these type of rip offs.

Take a walk through an Italian Feast in NYC,nothing but flat stores they get guys for thousands.

And in case you don't know what a flat store is, its a carnival game usually using numbers
where you have to score a certain amount of points,but you will always be a number away from the prize
and your money back...thus FLAT OUT CAN'T WIN.

Yeah, if you read that thread I linked, some dude explains the whole thing. Basically it's rigged so that your chances of hitting the correct numbers is one in a million. Mix in the carny being able to pick up the game pieces and announce the score without you being able to quickly verify that he's correct and it's guaranteed that you will lose. I've been reading about carny scams for the past 5 hours. It's fascinating.

they did the same thing to me. gave me a free go and I got 5 points, and then got another 5 after my first time playing with cash. and of course the doubling of the amount is what gets you.

so went through with the charge back and told the bank I had lost my CC and I wasn't the 1 making the payments. Was able to get the transactions cancelled and my money back.
