Im not saying its not my own fault...I watched it on a flight...but just in case someone was looking at the last unseen movie on itunes and thinking why not? Dont do it. Dont be fooled by the cast. Sam Jackson, Gary Oldman and Batman. No doubt they all finished it and laughed how it is the shittiest movie each have ever made.

I was waiting for RedBox to get it in... I think July 1 all RedBoxes will have it.
I was a big fan of the older Robocop. I thought it was well done for a movie shot in the late 80's. I remember all the commercials hyping the new Robocop. I kind of knew it was going to be a disaster. But... I still love the original. I'll probably blow the $1.50 on Blu-Ray and watch it.

I rented it 3 days ago. Nothing compares to the original. A lot of hard knocks on this new movie... I thought it was going to be severely awful. But I've seen worse movies.
My take on a few things...
1. Robocop on the motorcycle. Clearly gave the movie a little more speed and excitement. If he was riding in a car... movie would of really tanked.... if they had the same plot and ending etc.
2. Robocop's wife in the movie... I thought she played it pretty well. Wasn't over dramatic. Decent looking girl... thought she nailed everything pretty well.
3. I don't know why they didn't stick with the "female version" of Robocop's partner Anne Lewis in this remake? Still boggles my mind.
4. I thought the flow of the movie was poor. Never got in any rhythm until late in the movie. And that was questionable too.
I always like to research a movie's estimated budget... you can do this by going to IMDB.com Robocop's budget was $100,000,000 and currently the movie has only made (not including rentals) $58,607,007 in the USA. Naturally... your goal is to make double your initial output. I'd say the loans for the movie won't be repaid anytime soon.
