drinking is for people with jobs so they dont build up so much rage they have to beat the crap out of their boss(es)
if you are broke and drinking you are doing it wrong

mom kicked me out today. not onto the street but into a banged up and busted RV
recently went 60 days with no booze. wasnt too tough. some tough nights where it would have been great but i never gave in. starting a 120 day sober streak tomorrow. just one more night
then ill get a job. and i would never work hungover so that will end the drinking
i know exactly what will happen when im breaking my back for pennies. i will remember all the free time i had and how i took it for granted. well im going to enjoy this last night drunk

Rudy and Tony:
Donate some time to charity. It will give you a better high than any drug or drink you can put in your body. It will change your life more than you can ever imagine.
The act of helping others can create an improved sense of well-being.
Selfless giving is a key component to inner peace and contentment.
Karma will repay you two fold
It can instantly bring you out of a depressed state.
I signed up with the local Volunteer Center. They send me an email when they are in need of Volunteers for different events. I show up for events that interest me the most. I have made lots of new friends and find myself worrying about the less fortunate more than my own problems.
Good Luck!

I got it all wrong...drank on the job, raged out and quit. No job, broke and drinking less.

I wish I would do this. I like to help or at least think I do, but I'm so cynical it may not even affect me positively.
Hope all is well with you and the dog though man.

Booze is a tough one. Known too many who have succumb to the bottle.
My advice, find a new addiction that is easier to maintain or learn how to become a maintenance drunk.
If you gotta drink learn how to live while drinking. Those alchy's that try to pretend to quit, get that shit pent up, and then binge for a week or two at a time of blackout drunks and lost jobs and relationships as a result. That shit is terrible, man.

I have to chime in. I've donated some of my time to charity and can tell you that cocaine, ecstasy, and ketamine gave me a better high.

Rooting for you, Rudy. Good luck.
My father was an alcoholic, so I've seen how destructive drinking can be.
