#4I think a lot of guys want to be in a relationship. The general consensus is that you get more sex in a relationship. Hell, I remember meeting a girl online - we talked for about a month. Met up, went on a short outing to a fast food store in the afternoon just to break the ice. She spent most of the time glued to her iphone or whatever they are. I thought to myself, she isn't interested.
Texted her after the outing saying if she'd like to meet again - to my surprise she said yes. The next night, bang, we are shagging hard. Her hands are wrapped around my buttocks as I thrust. The next day, bang, going at it hard again. The bed is shaking, her toes are curling. The wall is taking a beating.
Then a few days later she texts me saying we haven't had sex for a few days and she wants it. One night I finish early, before she gets off. She demands I go down for the chew to finish her off. Girls want a relationship - they use sex to get it.
Guys want a relationship, because if they get a relationship, they get regular sex.
Im mid 20's and a lot of my mates from school are engaged/married and a fair few have already had kids.
Most girls want the whole marriage, kids, house package by 30. Girls are surprisingly materialistic, competitive and prone to extreme bouts of jealously.
Girls get hit on heaps in their 20's. Even dodgy looking birds can go to a club and guys will hit on them, desperate to get their dicks moist, even if only for 30 seconds before they do their nut. Hence, dodgy birds think they are the bees knees.
I personally just prefer to use prostitutes a lot of the time. Saves me time and money and hassle. If I want to play out a foot fetish, I can give a girl's feet a tongue lashing without being treated as a deviant.
Guys in their 20's put girls on pedestals. Even ugly birds get hit on by decent looking guys with a horn.

It depends on the type of guy. They could either be insecure and want to impress their friends and themselves by getting laid a lot, or just like getting laid a lot. Either way, like AussiePunter said, relationships can be a really good way to get there.
Some men want a real keeper. These guys often had a gf in the past who fulfilled them sexually, but were shitty relationship partners.
To answer your original question -- probably more then you think, but still not as much as women. Women fantasize about marriage and guys who fit that profile. Men never do that.Comment -

I have been with 2 women in my life sexually. If my urges ever get strong, I just rub one out and explode over my desk/floor and then I think, 'how lame is this'.
Guys who put girls up on a pedestal are the one's who make it hard for most guys to get laid in their 20's.
Guys go for looks, most guys wont give a stuff if their spouse is a cleaner at the local supermarket or a uni lecturer, as long as she is decent looking.
I see heaps of girls, who are decent looking, going for dodgy looking guys that earn a decent living.
The older women are generally more easy-going and less stuck up. A lot of them have been in failed marriages/relationships and know that the fairy tale isn't what it was cracked up to be.Comment -

#9I have no idea.
I'm too terrified to even approach a woman, much less get a phone number or date.
I realized I fell too far behind and missed my chance to develop into a man who could actually have a girlfriend or date on a regular basis. Now, I just shut myself in and focus on work, degenerate gambling and weed.
I have no depth, which makes it even more difficult to carry on a conversation with a woman. I don't even know what to say to a girl. I pretty much have nothing interesting to say, apart from talking about work and sports.
Basically, I realize I'm hopeless and no longer desire to put in the work necessary to get a date or girlfriend. I guess girls need relationships more because of the comfort aspect, but it's different strokes for different folks. I'm sure there are a few girls who are all about the sex, and there are probably a few guys who are actually hoping to be in a relationship as a way to avoid the excruciating pain you feel daily when you are constantly alone.Comment -

#12No, it's not that. Even after I have sex with a real girl, I still get the same feeling, like a sense of melancholy or sadness. Or even disgust.
Seriously, at my age, girls are after men with a good job more than looks. I went on a date with a girl 2 years ago, at the time, I was a student. Now, I think I am a fairly decent looking guy, but just found out she got married recently. I saw a picture of the guy and he is dodgy looking.
Greazy hair, looks older than his age, fairly ordinary looking guy. But he has a decent job. When I met this girl, she was banging on about her parents putting pressure on her to hurry up and get married and spit out grandkids for them.
So, she has obviously followed that advice and got hitched in what seems like a relatively short period of time. The urge to have kids for a large percentage of women is overpowering, if not more than the urge for some guys to have sex.
If you can land a good job (doctor, lawyer, engineer, stock broker, banker etc), anything with a bit of prestige and a university education and a decent pay packet, then you become drastically more desirable to single females in their late 20's, early 30's.
Why? Because society's norm is for women to get married by 30, have kids and settle into family life. Women, whether they admit it or not, still feel that pressure to conform - despite the feminist movement that urges women to get educated and become financially independent.
Single men in their 30's often are beating off women with a stick, the same women who wouldn't have given most guys the time of day in their 20's.
To a degree, women only have them selves to blame. A lot of them hold off settling down in their 20's waiting for a better guy around the corner. THen they hit 30 and realise that they mistimed their run and panic sets in.Comment -

Females in their 30's are more chilled and happy to chat and laugh. Why? Because a lot of them are single because they had bad relationships in their 20's and they know that the 'white-knight' image of marriage is really just an illusion.
Girls in their 20's get hit on heaps. Even ordinary looking girls. Most girls therefore get an elevated sense of their true 'market worth'. Society encourages materialism, self-absorbed behaviour and narcissism. Girls IMO are more prone to these deleterious traits in their 20's. Just look at social media and how most girls are attached to their phone taking pics of their meals or a bit of dust on the ground.
Girls in their 20's are generally pretty stuck up. I am not having a go at them, just making an observation.
Fortunately, once women are in their 30's, a flick switches and they come back to a sense of reality.Comment -

To your point about what women want nowadays, I see it, but thankfully that's not always the case. The women that are looking more for the lifestyle, whether it's success/kids/whatever almost always end up unhappy when the dust settles. I've seen it before, and I see it now. So I don't worry about women like that, I can dismiss them fairly easily.
As a result of this, if my Forex career does take off, and it's getting close to, I should have money, but especially in dating life, I will do my best to look like I'm very run-of-the-mill financially. I never have been flashy, nor do I intend to be, so it should be easy. I don't need to attract women that way, it's Vegas, there will always be women who will sleep with you anyway if you need that fix, but I'm more like you are it seems in terms of what I'm looking for. The good news is, that no matter where you are, there are women that want things that are more real, you just have to look a bit harder. I've found online dating to be great for this, because you can eliminate 98% of the bullshit women out there before you even start. Even in the City of Sin, I've found some real gems recently.Comment -

#16I may feel a bit different since I live in Las Vegas, where being in your 30s and single, man or woman, is looked at as forward-thinking and exciting. The city I was raised in is more like you described. When I was 25, people were already wondering why I hadn't settled down, and if there was something wrong with me as a result. Good thing I moved, or I would have thought the whole world was like that.
