Remember when Chic-fil-a's owners said they don't approve of gay people? There was far more bs coverage than this.

Now they are the number 1 chicken seller in fast food... Wonder if it has anything to do with black people and fried chicken?

white Christians made the US a strong powerful nation. since about 1970 blacks, jews, muslims, and illegal Mexicans have watered down a great country---this means a lower standard of living for all decent hard working Americans.

But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. And they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it. Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. And suddenly the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.” And the three of them came out. And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.

And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.” He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.”

You shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them. You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly. But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and chop down their Asherim and burn their carved images with fire.

I am very dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon. Do not gaze at me because I am dark, because the sun has looked upon me. My mother's sons were angry with me; they made me keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept!

In those days also I saw the Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab. And half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod, and they could not speak the language of Judah, but only the language of each people. And I confronted them and cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out their hair. And I made them take oath in the name of God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters to their sons, or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves. Did not Solomon king of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless, foreign women made even him to sin. Shall we then listen to you and do all this great evil and act treacherously against our God by marrying foreign women?”

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

Listen to me in silence, O coastlands; let the peoples renew their strength; let them approach, then let them speak; let us together draw near for judgment. Who stirred up one from the east whom victory meets at every step? He gives up nations before him, so that he tramples kings underfoot; he makes them like dust with his sword, like driven stubble with his bow. He pursues them and passes on safely, by paths his feet have not trod. Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. The coastlands have seen and are afraid; the ends of the earth tremble; they have drawn near and come.

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Stop talking about it would be my solution...does nothing but force us to talk about something that isn't an issue anymore. Well, not a one sided issue at least. We all hate each other, all equally racist these days.

I agree with the last part, disagree with the first part. I think whites need to make peace with their racism and stop trying to pretend they're something they're not. Whites still are so afraid to be labeled "racist", though all of them are, as is everyone else. Just admit to it and relax.

Racism is an "issue" but not an "issue" in a sense that we need to do something about it. You can't tell people how to feel, it doesn't work. Like I said above, just be comfortable with it. I don't hate black people, but I hate a lot of the things a lot of black people do. I'm sure a lot of them feel the same. Whoop-di-do.

There will never be a time where you won't disapprove of something another culture does differently than you. Racism will never go away. Stop thinking it will. We can still get along just fine.

Shit, you have to laugh at what's going on in Europe. All sorts of immigration and cross-culturaliztion happening in places where it's never happened before, and they are NOT dealing with it very well. Having gone though all of this decades ago, we as Americans can sit back and laugh at how behind these nations are compared to us when it comes to being able to live together. Places like France, Sweden, and Greece talking seriously about ethnic cleansing, and Spain still throws bananas at black soccer players. USA is waaaaayyyy beyond shit like that thankfully.

Race problems must be addressed at their source.......the race track. I would start by lowering speed limits, with signs posted at every hairpin turn.

Key word in dealing with anyone is respect. If you show it, it will come back to you in return.

We ALL have our prejudices. It's a lack of respect for one another that's bringing this country down.

From July 2001 to May 2002, Bertrand and Mullainathan sent fictitious resumes in response to 1,300 help-wanted ads listed in the Boston Globe and the Chicago Tribune. They used the callback rate for interviews to measure the success of each resume. Approximately 5,000 resumes were sent for positions in sales, administrative support, clerical services, and customer service. Jobs ranged from a cashier at a store to the manager of sales at a large firm.

The catch was that the authors manipulated the perception of race via the name of each applicant, with comparable credentials for each racial group. Each resume was randomly assigned either a very white-sounding name (Emily Walsh, Brendan Baker) or a very African-American-sounding name (Lakisha Washington, Jamal Jones).

The authors find that applicants with white-sounding names are 50 percent more likely to get called for an initial interview than applicants with African-American-sounding names. Applicants with white names need to send about 10 resumes to get one callback, whereas applicants with African-American names need to send about 15 resumes to achieve the same result.

In addition, race greatly affects how much applicants benefit from having more experience and credentials. White job applicants with higher-quality resumes received 30 percent more callbacks than whites with lower-quality resumes. Having a higher-quality resume has a much smaller impact on African-American applicants, who experienced only 9 percent more callbacks for the same improvement in their credentials. This disparity suggests that in the current state of the labor market, African-Americans may not have strong individual incentives to build better resumes.

"For us, the most surprising and disheartening result is seeing that applicants with African-American names were not rewarded for having better resumes," says Bertrand.
Statistically, the authors found that discrimination levels were consistent across all the occupations and industries covered in the experiment. Even federal contractors (for whom affirmative action is better enforced) and companies that explicitly state that they are an "Equal Opportunity Employer" did not discriminate less.

The richest black man in hollywood right now is Tyle Perry. Saw some thing the other day said his 15+ movies have generated a billion dollars and he's earned $400 million. Literally as soon as I saw that post I said to myself "I bet Tyler Perry changed his name" and guess what, it used to be Emmitt.

First, ur solution of black people giving their kids non black sounding names doesnt address the problem that anything associated with being black is bad.

Second, Perry changed his name because he wanted to distance himself from abusive father who was Emmit Sr.

First, I didn't offer a solution about addressing anything associated with black as bad. You're just not very intelligent and had to connect the two so you could try make some kind of coherent argument. I offered a clear and simple solution to name profiling the study mentioned. There is even more research out there showing how people with shorter names, regardless of race, are more successful in the corporate world. So everyone with a long name should start bitching and moaning.

Secondly, so I guess Tyler perry sounded more black than Lamar Perry or LeQuan Perry, or how about Shabazz Perry? lol
