    2 Boston Firefighters die
Lt. Ed Walsh, and Michael Kennedy died. 9 alarm fire. Prayers go out to their families. These guys got balls you should hear the tapes of the maydays and Kennedy calling for more water. He is in a basement where I window broke out and with the winds it was a bad situation. The firefighter must know he is going to die when they tell everyone to get out and they cant. He asked for more water and says its getting a little hot in here. Not freaking out just asking for it. What they did in the basement saved a lot of tenants on the upper floors. These guys are real heroes. Tom Brady was there watching the fire because he rents in the area. He plays football a game and everyone idolizes him. horrible society

Hits home, my pops was a volunteer fireman for 30 years......fell thru the roof fighting the Garden State RaceTrack fire in '77

The track never recovered after that and closed down after rebuilding early '00

Shit, just noticed this thread...I'm self-employed as an independent contractor...our company does work for volunteer fire departments and we get them the equipment that they need like pumper engines, ambulances, thermal imaging cameras, ladder trucks, jaws of life, brush trucks, etc...we set up fundraisers for them like bull and oyster roasts, bingo, mailers, door-to-door campaigns, but never telephone solicitations...anyhow, we make sure that fire departments can keep their equipment by making monthly payments and/or paying them off!...
