1/2 church is lawyers, that's not an exaggeration.
Phelps chartered is a law firm, the five lawyers at the firm when it started in 1964 were all his childre, he has I think nine kids. Phelps himself was disbarred ( I think in 1978 ) but he was also a lawyer. The church has made about 200k suing people that reacted to their craziness. They have actually collected 200k, they once won a 5 million dollar lawsuit that thankfully was overturned. They finance the church's activities through working, many of these crazy fools are white collar people.
