I chopped my hair to collar bone length today and a gay guy friend told me I'd just basically shut down my sex life as guys prefer long hair... even when it's fake.

Granted, I'm an old guy (54) but depends on other features.

Hair distracts

If you have pretty eyes, cute face...Hair can distract from that.

If you have maybe a scar or something on face you're self conscious about, maybe longer hair is better.

Same applies to your body.

If you have a good / great body...long hair can hide that fact.

Well Hellooooo Shari! I am so glad you asked for our help regarding such an intimate question. Remember, judges wear robes - we, on the other hand, do not pass judgment and wear very little of anything as we type in front of our keyboards. But I digress.

As for short or long hair. The long, overgrown mossy look of the 70's and early 80's is done and thank gawd for that. However, the pendulum has shifted precipitously the other way and now we've got many young women shaving it bald. I like a little something in the middle. I say carefully groom the triangle above your kibbles and bits but keep it relatively close cropped though not buzzed so you don't get that hellacious looking razor burn.

It's all biology and evolution, these are facts, no such thing as beauty in the eye of the beholder crap: women look better with long(er) hair. Not a debate. The most confused point of this topic? The false conclusion that you don't look good because you're hair is short (by the way, "short" means a man's haircut length). This leads to the point that ends the discussion ---
