Look, I know there are legions who love True Detective but I'm not one of them. I've tried to understand what Matthew McConaughey is saying under his Clint Eastwood-like whisper, rewinding every time he finishes a sentence just to read his lips while I turn the volume up to 100. And I really like McConaughey so this isn't a knock against him per se, I'm just not digging the premise nor the flash back approach.
Okay, so that's just me. However, I did hang around long enough to see the exquisitely chiseled countenance and breathtaking body of Alexandra Daddario. Woof! I remember her from a movie I took my son to see a few years ago named Percy Jackson. Dear gawd, she's grown up. What a stunner. Why she's not mentioned in the same breath as the other A-List Dime Pieces I'm not sure. Maybe because she's not an A-lister you say? Well, you may have me there.
