Ticker says 40,000+ are without power due to the power lines not being able to withstand spit...homes north of LA being evacuated in case mudslides occur.


Same people who were making fun of Atlanta and Charlotte being paralyzed by ice a few weeks ago are now ironically wrecking and killing each other from a rain shower

My cousin who lives in PA sent me a text this morning hoping I was safe after he watched the news. I thought WTF are they telling people, it's a little rain not time to build an ark. Pretty sure their sub zero temps and piles of snow is far worse than whatever we go through in LA.

It's all relative to location. Infrastructure is built different in each region. Just karma with the weather. In a couple months people in Louisiana and Texas will be in shorts soaking wet from 100 degrees and 1000% humidity but moving along while we'll hear of hospitals in Maine being hit with heat exhaustion cases because of temps reaching a balmy 80.

It's the idiot transplants who have no idea about the weather here. This is standard operating procedure here for the locals. News likes to make a big deal out of it, but it's pretty standard. Hillside burns+ rain equals landslides... Pretty much the only bad part.

Rain in California right now is like a cow pissing on flat rock. The ground is so hard it doesn't absorb the rain so it just runs off. It also mixes with the dry dirt and creates a sludge. The real funny part of it all is that like 90% of this rain will be directed to dump into the Pacific Ocean.
