what is the purpose of betpoints?!...do they have any value?!

Ladies and Gents,
what's the purpose of betpoints?...I think you can buy merchandise from the SBR store but do they have any real value?...can they be redeemed for actual cash?...Reason I'm asking is because my days on this website are numbered and I'm thinking of either giving them all away, buy something, or cash in...I want to know exactly what purpose they serve...SBR just started this program a few years ago and there was no such thing as SBR Pro's, betpoints, etc. when I first joined way back in '07....anyhow, thanks in advance!

Depends where you live and what your needs are. All relative to the holder.

I find them of no value at all but others here who are eligible for some of the gift cards and merchandise have done quite well with their points. If you are not interested in a 5x rollover stake at some out you have no use for or have already signed up to out of link with this site and can't buy the merchandise, they have no value at all.

Some guys here get thousands of dollars of pretty useful gift cards and merch. Nothing wrong with that at all.

In your case a moot point. You have to purchase a Pro Membership to do anything with them, can't even give them away at more than a few at a time.

thanks Billy Sink.......I kind of figured as much...so I can't even get gift cards, HD tv's, and whatever else the SBR store has unless I turn pro?...this was the reason why I posted this because I don't want the betpoints to go to waste if they can be used for a good purpose.

I don't know to be honest. I never considered doing that, I give/raise about 5k a year for some local kids rec centers so I really never really pay much attention to other outs so to speak

Got nothing bad to say about that though any charity is good work to me

i hear ya sinker and i also try to do my part...im on record for my preference to support local charities but obviously sbr can only offer a select few

bottom line is that ive gotten more out of sbr than ive put in and at this point i guess im lucky enough to say that a $50 walmart card aint gonna change my life one way or another so i toss my points to charity

Drinker is a PRO and Sinker is not...so I'm not sure what path you're planning on following here If you do decide to donate your points though, do it as a charity donation as others suggested.

spot on, MoneyShot!.......Actually, that shit happened to me three times!!...I had 20, and the effin' dealer wound up with 21!...I was cursin' and swearin' like a drunken sailor!.......and several times I had 19 and the dealer of'course just happened to have two face cards (or twenty points!)...I was like no fukkin' way in hell!...but I won several times in a row and came out 400 betpoints ahead!......I beat the computer at it's own game...I just stood on numbers like 14 and 15 and then let the dealer bust!...
