The one thing I have learned over many of years within this industry is that bridges are never really burnt however, it's upto the individual how they wish to define it.

Danny Boy started this stuff at OGD several months ago. He believes his ideas were used (either betpoints or SBR sportsbook). He also believes he's entitled to financial compensation. If he doesn't receive money or employment there is a threat to go to the feds with damaging information. That appears to be the gist of it.
