    Legal Question?
My employer has been deducting my insurance premium from payroll for a 1 1/2 yrs now. Caught word and dug into it myself and the insurance has been cancelled since 9/1/13. He still continues to deduct and duck and run from everyone on payday.

What is the best move here? Squeeze his head like a turnip, level with this shady prick, report this to who?

    We talking health insurance?

First thing I would do is contact the insurance company and get it reinstated. Next I would send him a certified letter and copy your local attorney general with the same via certified letter. Lastly, I'd start aggressively looking for a new job.

Sorry to hear that Lester. What a dik. I don't know how contacting the insurance company and ask to get it reinstated is going to do any good? Basically they'll tell you if your boss has been paying it or not... that's about it... which looks like No. Usually talking to the head person in the payroll department... whoever is in charge should work. That's his/her job to take those kind of questions. And... they should give you the answers you're looking for. As for the $ wasted for having no coverage... I'm sure you can work out an agreement with the payroll department and they will compensate you the entire amount. But if your boss runs the entire operation... and you can't get a word out of him... I have no idea in who to contact. Hope things work out for you.

All depends on the company you're with. Is it a small shop or a bigger operation? If it's a small one just go straight to him and say fix it or I'll be filing a small suit to have it fixed and just provide your pay info to verify funds were withheld. If it's a bigger firm just go to HR/accounting and they'll fix it.

Yep, actually I bet he is being fraudulent in his w2 reporting....you can go to the social security website and file a complaint......I would try and see if he is willing to amend things first.

I appreciate the responses guys. It's a small time shop, owned by a Sicilian dude that's never around. Sad to say were in the medical field too. I know if I become an annoyance they will conspire to cut me loose.

In Germany your boss would face up to 5 years in prison. No shit. They don't take shit like that lightly here.

He probably can't afford it because of Obamacare. I own a small business that had a 22% increase, and my wife owns a business that had a 41% increase. We employ 14 hard working Americans and this crap is forcing us to pass along more of the cost than ever before.
