Just got back from Anchorman 2
Shit was piss in your pants funny, just as good as the original.

Now, you are not going to like it if you are not a fan of the inane, absurd, ridiculous, because it's all of that, but it's fall down funny never the less.

Will Ferrell is a genius, most underrated comic ever to come out of SNL.
Harrison Ford is great, and Christina Applegate, no longer the teen sex symbol she once was, has developed into a terrific actor.

Little drawn out in the middle, but with the exception of maybe 15 minutes, the movie is gold.

Chris Farley for me if I want ridiculous comedy. Guy was "all in" and his death proved it

Ferrell has just made too many lame movies for me to even care anymore. Some of his stuff is just aweful.

glad u liked it Nasher, maybe if the old lady is begging for a chick flick I can compromise with this one.

John Candy too, Trains, Plains, and Automobiles another holiday classic.

Not John Candy here, but gold still the same.

Candy was pretty good in Home Alone.

I thought it was funny as hell... But what you call over the top, absurd, etc. I call forced.

It was funny and it really was a somewhat high class of humor actually... Worth seeing for sure

You know, I once read back in the 90's that Bill Murray was really considering doing Ghostbusters 3 with Farley as one of the new recruits, but then he died and Murray was no longer interested.

I can just see Farley trying to operate that proton pack. That would have been a role that he was made for.

Wow. Even that sequel would have been a classic.

My wife hates Will Ferrell, but I think he's funny as Hell. I loved Anchorman, Old School, Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, and Step Brothers. He was also great in The Other Guys with Mark Wahlberg. Hell, Elf was even funny.

yes, I AGREE with almost everything you said.

A1 is and always has been one of my favorite movies, probably my favorite Ferrell movie along with Old School. I remember being pumped when he announced to Conan that A2 was going to happen! I never thought it would be after 6+ years came and went... but maybe that was a good thing in the end.

I went last Saturday and theater was almost full and the crowd was great. Crowd was somewhat young though.

I didn't like the kid who played the kid though. But that was tolerable.

It was laugh out loud funny and I don't remember the last time I was laughing so hard that I almost had tears in my eyes 3 times at least.

I will be seeing it a second time and soon as you want to see it with at least half a crowd in there.

I would rate A1 just slightly ahead of A2... the ability to re-watch the first one time and time again being the deciding factor.

Yes, all things considered, the original was a little bit better, this was just as good (almost) a sequel you can say "damn, that's a good sequel"

Not to many sequels measure up, Clerks 2 was just as good as original Clerks, not to many though.

movie had a few good laughs, just like the first. Other than that 90% of it was stupid as hell and lazy just like the first. Will Ferrell is extremely overrated and overpaid for years now. It's a rated R movie for 8 year olds.

Well that's just it, it's a silly, inane movie, that's not for everybody, everybody knew, or should know that going in.
Chicken of the cave is one of the funniest lines I ever heard in a movie.

You didn't like it, I get that, I never slam anybody for taste in movies and music. All good.

i am a huge Will Ferrel fan.

But the crazy thing is i actually hated Anchorman the first time i saw it.

But then i was watching again on DVD and started to love it. Couldnt get enough of it.

i have litterally watched that dvd atleast 50 times from start to finish.

Linkin Park was like that with me too i didnt like it at all at first and the it really grows on you...

i'm probably going to get really zuded and go watch anchorman 2 soon.

Will Ferell, one of my fav actors (Sandler,Farley,John Candy, Chevy Chase).
                                              Step-brothers my all-time fav movie.

The first Anchorman was obviously tough to duplicate, it was fkn hilarious from start to finish.
Anchorman 2 had me cracking up the first hour, but the 2nd half of the movie was a bit of a letdown for me though and wasn't as funny.

Still give it 2 thumbs up though.

That's how a lot of comedy movies are for ppl who are more into sci-fi, action movies etc.
Once you realize the actual plot of a comedy movie isn't important and it's all about the laughter, you get a better grasp of what guys like him do and appreciate how funny they really are.

Hilarious film. Ferrell is funny as shit. Waiting for him to do a movie with Tracey Morgan.

some people just don't know how to have a good time once in a while... and it's not rated R. the comedy is not for 8 year olds... it is not full of all toilet humor or just a bunch of shit that is just gross. its rated PG-13. in fact, you probably haven't even seen either movie.

I did pretty much hate the kid in the movie. Besides that scene when he got that present and was pretending to be a superhero
