Bidding At Ebay Nears $100,000 For George Zimmerman's First Ever Painting
After beating the rap on murder charges and a pair of domestic violence cases, George Zimmerman has turned to art.

The Florida man is selling his first-ever painted work on eBay and has already attracted nearly 100 bids – and just short of $100,000 – in an auction that ends early Monday morning.
Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., confirmed the auction is legitimate and the artwork is authentic.

They would face repercussions from Ebay if they don't wouldn't they?

They wouldn't be able to bid with that account again, so nothing major. This happens time to time with "celebrity" items on EBay; they'll just take measures next Zimmmmm reposts the painting. But there is zero chance someone will pay 100k for this.

It's all bogus for publicity. The Seller has a Zero feedback and most likely all of the bidders have no intentions of ever paying. Ebay can't do anything about it.

It's real, there may be some clowns putting fake bids in but, there are legitimate bidders as well. GZ is really the seller.

No collector is going to legitimately bid on something that was run up by some low feedback people and especially from a seller with Zero feedback. This has scam/publicity stunt written all over it.

Normally auction that go this high for artwork have a much more elaborate description. This one has this:

First hand painted artwork by me, George Zimmerman. Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself. I found a creative, way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences. My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors :-) I hope you enjoy owning this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your friend, George Zimmerman

Allows him to remain indoors? C'mon.

I am finding it very difficult to believe that the real George Zimmerman would post this. I know his picture is there, but something about this whole thing is fishy. I bet this goes over $500,000 and no one will get any money.

I like how"One Nation" is under "God", kind of like he was under Trayvon

Wait that would make Trayvon God

Maybe "God" is in between "One" and "Nation" to symbolize how the murder split our country

Oh hell I don't know, I'm confused, screw you English Lit teachers and all ur BS

Exactly. Ebay is nothing more than a heavy business now. I don't even know why they call it a true auction site? I was auctioning off a used car in really good shape and I had one bid retraction and with every retraction you must give a good reason. The person's reason was "I have to retract my bid because my wife made several purchases this month that I was unaware of and we are over our budget." I said what does your wife's spending habits have anything to do with you clicking your mouse button and bidding on an auction? Then, the auction was finally complete and the highest bidder didn't even pay me. Unreal. Then ebay charges you $150 for a car you didn't even sell. Practically you can bid and retract on anything you want. There's no excitement of a true auction. Ebay takes the fun out of it. And that's how the company started to begin with... bidding and auctioning. Now it's just buy it now... and thank you for the 10% commission.
