Astronomers have already found Earth-like planets in the habitable zones of distant stars. Imo it seems unlikely that life would flourish on Earth, but never even begin under similar circumstances elsewhere.

I see clouds every day Seaweed, clouds don't have headlights, believe me,
that thing had I light in the middle and at least 6 lights around, it stood still for a while and then suddenly accelerated away from me and vanished into the darkness.

Considering that we are made up of some of the most common ingredients in the universe (namely hydrogen), it is virtually certain that there are millions or billions of other intelligent life forms currently in existence.

Sadly, we're pretty much pond scum on the universal scale and not scientifically significant to any species that has mastered the concepts of time and space. According to the Kardashev scale, we haven't even reached Type I status.
