Xannax for anxiety?

Hey is anyone on here prescribed to it?

I mean ive had it before but i'm not talking about taking it to get fukked up...

Is it possible to take such a small dose that it just relaxes you and does not impair your ability to drive, function at work etc...

Yeah but it is one of the more addictive drugs in the benzo class and very dangerous to mix with alcohol. Dr. may not prescribe it if you drink. Ativan (lorazepam) would probably be a better route to try

i just dont want to take anything like zoloft that is required to taken every single day.

i dont want to be dependent on any medication but itd be nice to have something to ease the stress of work...

those drugs all have very different reactions for different people, so you'd need to try it to see what it does for you

but in general, overall, benzos definitely make you tired and foggy, and are also addictive

i would use them once in a while, if i didnt have anything important to do the next day

other than that, wouldnt do it

diet and sleep matter a lot more

Instead of trying to put a bandaid on your problem, you should find out the true cause of your anxiety. Stress, diet, sleep, lack of exercise? Fix the problem, not the symptom.

To answer your question, and not give unwanted advice like everybody feels they must, I have a prescription and yes xannax is great for anxiety. They can be scored in half if you don't want a full dose. Mixed with alcohol they make me sleepy but with no grogginess when I wake. Moderation is always the key. I would never take more than one pill and combine it with more than two drinks. Driving has never been an issue. In fact it helps my driving. I am more tolerant of aggressive drivers that may cut me off and long traffic lights no longer get cussed. Hope that helps.

Should also add... The good thing about xannax is that you don't have to take it every single day. On certain days when I feel myself start getting upset over little problems, I can take a half or a full pill. By taking a dose when you feel yourself getting agitated, you can head off the problem. This doesn't have to be an every day pill.

Take a few 2mg valium/diazepam it will do the trick. Get the 2mg prescribed and you can just pop a few at a time and see what works for you.

you dont have to take it every day. same deal as xanax, not as quick / powerful acting, it is longer acting, a bit less addictive i think in the eyes of doctors. Seek the advice of your dr. and let them know you don't want something required every day
