Ya, I know this is a long shot. I've had a manuscript ready for two years and cannot get an agent in NY to read even a chapter. It's a fictional book, about 55,000 words which is short by todays standards. Obviously needs an editor to comb it but any help would be appreciated. Non-fiction is selling these days as opposed to fiction.

Most agents or publishers won't read anything that isn't copy written. So I guess the question is, have you done that?

Publish it for Kindle on the Amazon platform. Dirt cheap to do it and I've know a guy who made six figures from a $1.99 digital Kindle book.

Can you tell me what book this is? Were there other methods that he used to be able to earn that much, besides pricing the book for cheap?

A while back my gf bought a book on Amazon about how to sell on ebay. It was like $4.99

It ended up being a fcuking homemade pamphlet full of common sense bullshit. Dude probably made 6 figures before rubes caught on and read the reviews.

Follow pop culture, everytime something new pops up, pump out a kindle "book" about it, sell it for $1.99 a shot. At least 10,000 people will it.

I work at a University and know a few professors who have had their books published. Have the contacts of several publishers and know a few pub reps...though their job is more so to sell stuff but it's a start. What genre is it?

The author's name is Kamal Ravikant and he's written several books in the self-help niche. I know he was selling 100 books or so every day for months on end.

Hey Blazer, it's a fictional work (though we always draw a bit on our own real life experiences) and it's about two young guys out of college who create a company and get acquired by a huge company and make a bundle (think Mark Cuban and Broadcast.com). It's primarily what happens to both of them during the two years that they must stay on during the transition. The CEO of the new company is a mofo and the guys go down two different paths. It's got many twists and turns. And it's exceptionally well written!
