I just had two done at one time, but I can see why some people go ahead and get all four taken out. Dont play around with the dentists instructions after the extraction and smoke or do anything to get the wound infected after the extraction, needs to heal and cover up.
    appreciate your advice Gregm

It wasn't too bad for me.

The actual extraction isn't worth worrying about. Just hope your gum heals up well.

I was joking with the nurse and oral surgeon during the procedure. I'm sure I was the only one who thought I was funny (so in that respect not much was different) but it was actually not much worse than getting a cavity filled. The pain didn't hit me until a few hours afterwards but they gave me plenty of perks to keep me smiling. You will be completely fine!
Thanks for sharing your experience Johnson, means a lot to me.

It's all a money maker Jonelyn. I'm 58. At 10, the dentist told my parents to get them yanked. I refused.

They are all in now. I've had no problems. Don't believe the dentist saying they will push all the teeth
            forward and stuff like that.

Save your money. Get them yanked only if there's a problem. Cancel that appointment.

i waited too long and 2 of 4 were impacted. one had to be cut into pieces and taken out in 3 separate pieces for how impacted it was. the other one got infected afterward and i had to get antibiotic on the hole that was left for like 2 days afterwards. i literally had to drive to my oral surgeon on sat morning anf sun morning and he would put a type of gauze with soothing cream/antibiotic on the hole to help me. i was in such discomfort.

the non impacted ones were no problem. i agree though after all is said and done, only get removed if you have problems. its not worth the pulling and pain and risk to just get them removed for the sake of removal. i removed the 2 normal ones out of fear at the time they would become impacted like the other 2.
