I'm grateful for LEO's, not because I feel they provide me any extra protection but because I believe they give my wife extra protection if she ever needs it. I'm fine and our house is secure. If I'm here, there's no worries. But I"m not always here and the police here have a lighting fast response time.

That doesn't change my point though. They operate with a degree of immunity that is not enjoyed by anyone else. Maybe it has to be this way but fukk, it's hard reading stories about cops killing or beating innocent bystanders and then getting no or hardly any punitive measures against them. Sure maybe the individual sues the city and wins but guess what, that puts the tax payers on the hook, not the city or the cop. It's unreal. Need to reign it in a bit.

I remember that story and it was pretty worthless posting it considering that the majority of people that were injured were hurt by shrapnel from various things breaking. I don't think anyone was killed other than the criminal who killed his co-worker and of course, the co-worker who was murdered.
