Dan LeBatard told a funny story about Sir Charles.

A few years back when Chuck was ripping the Heat (which he still does), Dan and him were driving in Miami and passed a van that had a sign on it that read something like "Charles is a Fat SOB". Chuck waved them down, took pics with the van and it's occupants, signed an autograph or two, and was was on his way.

The prosecution for this case was worhless. Almost everyone they put on the stand ended up hurting them. I do think the verdict was right with the evidence the jury heard, but sweet Jesus, a kid is dead because some azzhole made a shitty decision while driving to Target.

While the prosecution did a fairly poor job with this case it would not have mattered. You were going to have a hard time proving what actually happened and therefore the verdict was correct. Nobody actually knows what happened and while I think Zimmerman is a moron for even getting out of the car that in itself is not a crime.


I truly feel for the family and as a father myself I couldn't imagine but with a general lack of any real evidence or useful witnesses you were not going to get a guilty verdict there no matter who was the prosecutor
