Casey Anthony should thank her lucky stars that trial by jury is a constitutional right. The judge who presided over her murder trial said Monday he believes there was enough evidence to convict the Florida woman of the killing of her two-year-old daughter. During an interview Monday on the "Today" show, Judge Belvin Perry said he felt "surprise, shock [and] disbelief" when he read the jury’s verdict acquitting Anthony of first-degree murder. Perry said that though much of the evidence against Anthony was circumstantial, it was substantial enough to convict her. Perry said: "Justice will finally be served one day by the Judge of Judges. She is going to have to live with this and deal with this for the rest of her life."

A not guilty verdict can't be overturned you dolt, and she can't be retried on the state level, but she can be tried in US Federal Court, as a homicide case. This is known as the Dual Sovereignty Doctrine, which simply means that the Federal government is a separate entity from the State of Florida, so the US Attorney's Office can try the case on the Federal level.
