    Movie: World War Z
Watched this movie earlier today. Brad Pitt... nice role. Give him a lot of credit in it. Man if this stuff ever happened on Earth... Unreal. I'm surprised it hasn't yet.

Depending on how this Zimmerman trial goes, we may see something similar very soon.

Interesting that they had 2 entirely different endings for this movie.

The original concept was to write the movie as part of a trilogy, with a massive war ending the first movie. But the studio asked for a completely new re-write, but still trying to keep the trilogy idea alive should they make money on the first.

Diamond - If that's true... I'd go and see the 2nd one. Not much of a Brad Pitt fan... but you can clearly tell he's much more mellow than ever. Maybe being a dad to those adopted children helped him in real life? He plays a nice part in this film. I really didn't think he could do it. Seemed very natural.

any hardcore fans of the book shouldn't be worried about hollywood destroying the book cuz this film is nothing like the book. it has nothing to do with the book apart from the name lol.

          SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!

Also how do u make a trilogy when they already found a cure?

They never found a cure, remember they found a camouflage virus that taints the blood so that the zombies do not sense you. The sequels will probably be based on 1) retaking of major cities. 2) finding how or what caused this zombie virus (but if you read the book you know the name of the virus and its effects on the brain). 3) finally the most important one of all "the zombies strike back" somehow they will just say fcuk it and attack everyone healthy and sick.

Paramount Pictures’ adaptation of Max Brooks’ popular allegorical zombie novel,World War Z, has attracted its fair share of controversy due to a handful of issues – including, plans for the $125 million project to be Rated PG-13 and the substantial narrative differences between Brooks’ book and its cinematic counterpart.
Today, we have another piece of World War Z-related news that is also bound to be divisive; it turns out that the Brad Pitt-starring movie could kick off a new trilogy of zombpocalyptic flicks.
The LA Times is reporting that Paramount executives and World War Z helmer Marc Forster view the project as the first in three flicks which would blend “the grounded, gun-metal realism of [the Jason Bourne series with] the unsettling end-times vibe of AMC’s The Walking Dead.” The publication also compares the firstWWZ film to Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion, with regards to its “geo-political bent” and how it functions as part social commentary, part Hollywood blockbuster.
Here is an official plot synopsis for the World War Z movie:
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.
As was noted in our WWZ movie vs. book breakdown, it sounds as though Forster’s adaptation basically abandons the narrative structure of Brooks’ source material, in favor of a more generic reluctant-hero-saves-the-world thriller (ex. Armageddon, The Day After Tomorrow, etc.). While there have been entertaining films of that ilk released in the past, the storyline departure has understandably left many WWZ novel fans frustrated.
Brad Pitt on the set of 'World War Z'
Hollywood’s love affair with franchises has (in all honestly) been going on for almost the entirety of its existence. All the same, there’s been an observable increase in the number of titles manufactured to immediately lend themselves to a sequel (or more) in recent years.
Sometimes, those attempts pay off handsomely (see: Sherlock Holmes) while other times those films seem to suffer from being pre-packaged as the first installment in a new movie property (see: Green Lantern). Upcoming new spins on old ideas, including titles such as Snow White and the Huntsman and The Amazing Spider-Man, are likewise hoping to prove lucrative enough to inspire multiple followups.
That’s all to say: with its familiarly dark and gritty tone, traditional blockbuster plotline, and built-in sequel(s) potential, World War Z reads as being as ordinary a Hollywood blockbuster as any being made nowadays. Whether or not it will ultimately be any good, though, remains to be seen.

I never cared for any of that stuff either dane. But for some reason the "zombie epidemic" challenges your sense of reality... a bit. I could careless about vamps and wolves. But I dig anything to do with this zombie virus. And I still haven't watched one episode of The Walking Dead yet. I might just buy the DVD series online or something?

No sit down and spend your time watching paranormal bs and call it the best on tv. One more time rifle Christians are not allowed to have anything to do with the occult, paranormal garbage, witches and warlocks, ghosts and goblins. Don't you know that? What type of christian are you, you disobey all the laws of God and then tell everybody you are a christian. WTF is up with that, your swear, you judge people and damn them, you lie, you brag, you have homosexual tendencies, you bear false witness, and god only knows what else you do or are capable of. I have never met a more corrupt christian in my life.

Oh btw buddy do you want to discuss college days yet?
