Lately I have really grown to hate my job. I cant quit. I am making ~ $50,000 a year. I realize that isnt a great deal to some of you, but I have to be realistic and realize that I wont be able to make this much elsewhere. I could surely find another job, but I would only be pulling down $40,000 or less to start. I just cant justify leaving 10 grand on the table, and I realize every job will have things you dont like.
But I have really started to dislike my job. Long story short I have a lot of responsibilty, and I do mean a lot. But I dont have a lot of control. My superiors have a lot of control and I often feel like I cant complete my responsibilities because I need more control. By this, I mean more power, more control over my subordinates, more control over things in general. Im not a control freak, but I need it to perform my responsibilities. I have spoken to my superiors about this, and to put it bluntly I am not getting anywhere with that.
Has this happened to anyone else? What to do here ? Thank you
