Definitely yes on the Double Double protein style. I crushed two burgers last night lettuce wrapped with tomato, jalapeno, and bleu cheese and was within 1/2 lb of where I weighed in yesterday. The thing is that you can't cheat. No fries, no corn, no rice, no rolled ice cream. Sorry fidel.

There are different versions of the diet where you carb load for 1 or 2 days and then do a 5 day keto deal, or other variations but that is asking for trouble IMO.
