Here are some point plays that mirror actual plays made earlier. Philly was bought a while back.

Portland, Nova, and Wisky were made today.

I'm sitting on Philly +6.5 , +6, down to +5. I was accumulating Philly when it first came out. I have enough to sell back, as was the intention, with either NE to win, which has some real market value, or even buying down to -3.5. I never loved Philly, but I knew the line was going to drop.

I haven't sold back yet.

My golf plays are at the top of the board but we know today won't be so simple. Expect drama.

If you've read my posts over the last few years, I hope you are watching teh markets with that lens or viewpoint. I'll give one hint, it's not a wonder that Boston College came back to win and cover in OT, there's indicators in other sports as well.

No need to repeat analysis, I've done that for a couple of years, because the same thing happens every year.

We were looking for the long shot to compete with the favorite Fowler in the PGA, Chez Reavie has stepped up, but there's still time. Golfers that can serve both roles are still in contention, but Fowler looks to be the competing favorite.

Almost everything has tipped off today with the exception of ASU vs. WSU in hoops (and the Super Bowl).

My current conclusion is that the market is currently selling Philly and that does not bode well for the Philly winner. By the same token, the outright, non hidden money driving implies that NE to cover is like walking into a trap.

Are we going to see NE win inside the spread? Again?

I've ruled out buying NE to cover any points as a part of my Philly sell back plan. I have not bought the New England winner...yet.

Money has already been in play and flowing in multiple directions today; and the afternoon isn't over.
