Looks like a great plot. Realistic with the Feds involved.

Nice, looks watchable. I just watched the movie Bookies (2003) for the first time and I'm hooked on all these types of movies.

I'm not big into poker/hold em, but on Netflix they have "2 months 2 million" series which is watchable. It grew on me. Only lasted 2 seasons I believe..

Nothing ever did more to over-dramatize/over-romanticize poker than the movie "Rounders".

                  JT is an enormous tool.

I'll probably still go see it.

Looks cool and overblown like most hollywood movies, thanks for posting it.

                    Cheers!

I like it... looks good for the 2 minutes... hopefully they can actually create 90 minutes of the idea into something decent...

The plot listed there is just a cover story. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!

According to my sources, the movie is actually about a used car salesman who gets caught up in the shady world of an online monopoly money empire and is forced on the run as all his bad decisions catch up with him. One of those M. Night Shamalyn movies with a twist, where you don't realize the main character is actually the bad guy until about 2/3rds of the way through. Ending is rumoured to be the guy giving hand jobs in a dark Texas alley for slices of pizza and fantasy league freeplays when he's found out and put down like a wild animal.

Leaking an alternative plot to the press is a new technique they're trying out to avoid extortion attempts from any sad fuggers who might think this movie is based on their life and try to sue the studio for free pizzas. Hopefully it'll work for them...I probably won't see the movie though, the book wasn't all that good.
