    How Much is Enough $.....?
Is there ever a point where you are comfortable?.....

    I make 10,000 I just want a 20,000 item....

I get a raise at work....Feel I deserve even more, almost like the are increasing the bait to stay......

Looking at buying a house..ashamed its not a resort...

    Drive a nice car...want a better one.....few of em...

The days of proving yourself through hard work are gone...

Overworking yourself to death is nothing to be proud of...

But yet its all I see....Money on my Mind....

Grind to the top or die trying....or cash it all in and chillax on the beach and be humble?

    What route do you choose?

Is it worth the grind...goals just changes once you reach them....

When your living expenses are secured and everything else you rake in is going toward investments. It's really not that hard to figure out.

There's nothing wrong with wanting. The key is to want things that are more memorable like vacations instead of watches.

It's really relative PaperTrail. If grinding away and spending huge amounts of time to obtain the amount you need to spend one weekend on a vacation...then thats what it takes. Some would rather work 90 hrs a week to get enjoyment out of seeing the bank balance grow but they can't take off to use it on things..others work the standard amount to have enough to do what they want yet nothing extravagant in the eyes of others but it's about the extra downtime.

as i get older $$ is a catch 22. as itchy mentioned you either are working a lot and cant enjoy what you have in your bank account or working a little where you have the time but will never have the really nice things. i want $$ but not to sacrifice other things in life. i rather have a balance between work and enjoying life then just $$$.

however, i do agree about the raise thing. it does bait you to stay, assuming they will keep realizing your worth and you will grow at the company, etc. i also agree about the car. i just got a new one 3 months ago and now am thinking about how i can get to the luxurious next model in 3 years. never happy is human nature...

I always think of Zig Ziglar's quote... "money may not be everything but it's up there with oxygen". Balance is important but a lack of money is such a huge stress that you MUST have money in order to have balance.

i agree with those that say balance. I know some people that just work work work and make good $ but they never have time to enjoy life. A car is not going to make me happy, spending time with family and friends is what makes me happy. I don't need a 100' yacht to do that either, just give me a cooler full of cold ones and a tailgate and I'm good. Fortunately my boss/company is very balance oriented.

The only upgrade I've made from college since getting a real job is I now buy Gentlemen's Jack instead of Jim. Life's too short to drink cheap whiskey

When you are truly balanced, you only want or need money to survive.........

You have no want for worthless material things.....

You could careless about status such as more than the Jones's.....

I feel bad for people who try to fill the hole in their soul with material possessions, for the fact it is impossible to fill the void with unnatural things........
