I wont be living near the strip at all,I agree about it being a shit hole,but its just about business for me.Actually it will be in summerlin or henderson,I will be living.ive loived in maryland and washington dc and va,miami and i think the out skirts of vegas are nicer than those area,los angeles was the biggest shit hole I ever seen.

By the looks of the license plates and abundance of shitty mustang convertible rentals gracing the streets of LA, I'd say the season is in full effect. Las Vegas is much drier than Phoenix, on average. I needed a humidity control system in the house when I lived in Las Vegas - I don't think that's the case in Phoenix.

Phoenix only feels extremely dry during a couple of weeks in June. Las Vegas is at a higher altitude at the southern edge of the Great Basin - further away from the Pacific and Gulf of California - so it is dry as a bone much of the time.

Phoenix gets a few degrees hotter in the summer, but overall the climate is a lot easier to deal with I'm told..

Warming: Las Vegas is a tough place to live if you have sinus or respiratory problems.

And while I'm happy to see different places around the country it always affirms to me that for me, I live in the greatest city in the world: the best entertainment, the best restaurants, the best shopping and some of the nicest people I have ever met. I cant stand humidity,so las vegas has less humidity than phoenix.I know it get colder in the winter.i have been to nevada many times,reminds me alot of phoenix but alot browner mountains.I was out there in march and had a real bad nose bleed,that didnt want to stop.that must have been the dry air.
