MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — The Interstate 5 bridge over the Skagit River at Mount Vernon collapsed Thursday evening, dumping vehicles and people into the water, the Washington State Patrol said.

Its about 20 mins south of me and multiple people said they saw a semi with an over sized load hit the bridge before it collapsed. This is a nightmare for traffic there are no good ways to divert traffic around this thing.

I served up in Ft. Lewis Washington before I was 21 years old.
I know I would have hated a 4 day weekend coming up and I couldn't drive to Canada to do some serious 4 day bar hopping.
