What happens after? I don't know! Well, I don't think anything about it and I don't worry about it. Fear of Death is unnecessary. Just like Epicuros said, When we exist, there's no death and when there's death, we don't exist anymore. So what's the point of Fear of Death? Enjoy the life man! How old are you? Life is short enough, no need to worry about death while you can enjoy this beautiful, magnicifient life..

I think religion originated as a way for humans to explain what they can't otherwise understand, and make significant what is essentially random.

Before the mysteries of nature were solved there were gods for just about everything. Now the only mystery left is what happens after death, and it's no coincidence that is what most modern religions focus on.
