serious question, not trolling....how will me buying a blue bulb help your son's autism? i also wonder this about any "awareness" month. how is wearing a certain color helping anyone be cured of anything? why do i need to be aware of autism? i cant catch it.

95% of Autism childrem loves the color Blue, so they made it blue. Its to show your support for lighting it up blue in April its Autism Awareness month.

i am not bashing autistic people at all. my nephew has developmental problems. it is just the idea of a color or a 5k walk and things of that nature. i saw a sign that this month is "oral cancer awareness month". seriously? awareness is not curing anybody. if anything, it is reminding these people that they are different and need sympathy from others

Don't even bother responding to Chargers4222 as he is a complete moron. Awareness in turn can help educate people and also help bring in donations to find a cure.

I'm a complete moron? Good thing Livestrong makes all that money...my grandfather recently suffocated to death during his bout with lung cancer. Thank God everyone wears those yellow bracelets, they really came through for him. And thank God everyone wore blue the other day. Now my nephew is completely normal and has lost his entire developmental problem. Because everyone wore blue. I wasn't trying to be a jackass, but don't call me a complete moron for having a rational opinion. Most of the money from these charities goes right into the organizers' pockets. You are the complete moron here if you think otherwise. I can wear blue every damn day for the rest of my life and my nephew will never get better. That's life. I'll save my money to buy him a toy or something of use that I know will benefit him directly.
