If you need them to be sealed (i.e. if you want to play them loud and not annoy people around you), Shure SRH440 ($100) is a good choice. Or you could go the in-ear route with Grado iGi ($90) or Shure SE215 ($100). Those block out pretty much everything.
If you really want to go all out, try the Grado RS 2i. They are absolutely outstanding ($500, though).
Most of the 'rapper-style' headphones are overpriced and put too much emphasis on bass. If you want your headphones to be accurate across the spectrum, there are way better choices for the same amount of money. Find your local high-end audio (audiophile) store and try a few pairs out.Comment -
