I'll start first..my grandfather was only 15 when he ran away from home to go fight Germans...his mother my gran-gran mother 2 years later got a letter sayin that he got killed in the ambush by germans...so she had no choice but a create a little memorial for him

Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII. Grandfather on my dad's side was drafted in the Army and fought in Germany. Grandfather on my mother's side was drafted as a Navy minesweeper. He was a freshman when he was drafted and I believe was the leading scorer for the Marshall basketball team when drafted. Much respect for those who fought!
