Horrible tragedy. Similar to the 2003 Nightclub Fire in Warwick, RI when pyrotechnics set fire to the club.

Very sad story. They only had one exit to prevent people from sneaking in.

And they were blocking the exit bcs the wanted to make sure people weren't ducking their bill. 50 people found in the bathroom bcs through all the smoke, people thought the lighted doors were an exit. Tragic.

Yes, I read all of the above on CNN. There were also a lot of things wrong with the club like a fire extinguisher that didn't work, expired permits, etc. The flares that the band used were for outdoors use only. The band used them to save money. The indoor ones cost $8 as opposed to $1.50 for the outdoor ones.
