Love me some hot sauce. Thinking about making my own. Don't want it so hot that it makes life miserable for an hour of my life. Anyone got some good recipes?

#6If you want a good hit sauce to eat with chips, I have an awesome recepie.
I use a food processor.
First blend up: 1 jalapeño, 3 garlic cloves, and some cilantro...a big tablespoon.
Blend this all up pretty fine then add 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes, cumin, salt, and a teaspoon of white vinagar.
Blend it all up and you have some bomb hot sauce.Comment -

#12Years ago my father made a hot sauce with garden grown habanero peppers, papaya, and vinegar. To this day it is the hottest sauce I've ever had and my favourite.Comment -

#15No recipe for me yet....Make sure you get a good one though....I "improvised" using habaneros, and basically copied the ingredients off some bottle....Wow was I off.....The hot sauce I made smelled like insulation, and after I tried it I threw up.....I LOVE super hot sauce but mine was garbage.....Think I currently have like 4 or 5 different bottles in my stash - Jamaican Jerk Sauce, Scotch Bonnet hot sauce, Thai garlic chili hot sauce,a bottle of Dave's Insanity Original, and some Mrs. Renfro's Habanero Salsa.

#17Wash your hands after cutting anything if you are dealing with chilis and peppers, a small wipe away of sweat on your face can be pain and remember, it may be hot and spicy going in but its hot going out as well.
