Bump

I have been on sbr for quite awhile now, and I should know what bump means.. However I have no idea.. Can someone please explain why people write that after requesting a pick?

Bump just puts the thread up on top

As posts are being written, the older ones get pushed down the forum. When a post is responded to it moves the thread back up to the top. Many people don't go back and read the older posts so if someone wants more eyes on the thread then they will write "bump" to move the thread back up to the top.
