#10No Einstein, Bob Costas didn't say this. He was para-phrasing what Jason Whitlock said.
And what exactly is the problem with what was said?
Whether you support gun control or you don't is irrelevant, the statement was factually correct.

#14Americans are afraid of everything. We're afraid of other people so we buy guns. We're afraid of someone breaking in at night so we install vault doors and whole house alarms with bars on the Windows. Afraid to be fat, so we constantly diet.
Take the fukking guns. Nothing will change except we lose our false sense of security.

#17I'm sure the thousands of people who would have been victims without the gun they used to protect themselves would care to disagree with you. You think the mother with an infant daughter who shot a crackhead who was breaking into her trailer should of just hoped everything would turn out OK? Perhaps the New England couple who answered the door with a gun in their belt, who later found out those same 2 people at their door who saw the gun and walked away later that day tied up their neighbors, brutally beat them, and then killed them would think yes, something would change without guns.Originally posted by The KrakenAmericans are afraid of everything. When you end your soliloquy with "Too late for Trayvon", you expose yourself as just another socialist progressive loser. Here's a tip for you, wait until actual facts come out in a courtroom (not from scam artists like Al Sharpton) to find out what happened there. You just might save yourself the type of embarrassment you probably felt when the truth came out in the Duke lacrosse case. I don't know what happened in the Martin case, but I sure as heck ain't going to pass judgement by initial media reactions and political hucksters.
Guns are a deadly tool, that may save your life some day, or it may take your life one day, but how and by who it is used is where the judgement lies.Comment -

would there be a debate about banning knives then?

Very few people know this but it is absolutely true. US government provoked fear in the country since the end of the second world war. This is the cause of the cold war, Korea, Vietnam and almost every skirmish and war the country has fought with the exception of the last two.
Now people who do not understand American history will disagree and call me many names but that is okay, they simply don't understand the history of the US. They bought into what the conservatives in this country have been selling for a long time, and they are always wrong. Always!Comment -

You have proven to have no grasp on history, and you can't even make a cognizant point.
Lets review what you said. US Government provoked fear in this country since the end of WW2, and this is the cause of the cold war, Korea, and Vietnam. And somehow this equates with buying into what conservatives have been selling?
Funny, since WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam were all started under liberal and progressive democrats. Wilson was putting people in jail for speaking out against the war, Roosevelt was breaking constitutional rules to involve us in wars (land lease act) and constantly trying to convince the American public we should get involved (even though most were against it), Korea was started when Truman aligned in a twisted UN "police" action, and Johnson escalated Vietnam after the fraudulent Gulf of Tonkin incident. And somehow this is the fault of conservatives? Was aligning with Stalin, and giving him half of Europe so communism had a chance to spread the fault of conservatives? You can blame conservatives for the Iraq fiasco, and the bungling of Afghanastan, but fact is, our involvement in most wars, and all the world wars were started and promoted by progressives and democrats, and that's undeniable. That was back in the day when "conservatives" were against getting involved in the wars of other nations, before these globalist frauds like Buckley, and Rockefeller, and Bush made the GOP almost as bad as the wretched Democratic war party.
There are a lot of things you can fault conservatives for, just as there are tons of things you can fault liberals for, but you're just a punk kid who doesn't have any original thoughts, because all you do is recite slogans you hear from MSNBC, or daily KO's, or Center for American progress, and like a monkey, you almost grunt like a monosyllabic gorilla, liberals good, conservatives bad, on any topic that ever comes up. I have yet to read one original thought, or one meaningful insight or accurate analogy in all the pleonastic mumblings you masquerade as contributing posts.
The downfall of progressives is inevitable (again). All one has to do is read what a progressive has to say, and there's no way any rational person would ever give them power over a lemonade stand, let alone major functions of their lives.
Progressives are a plague, a virus that must be exterminated. There is no greater joy than cutting open a progressive. (you can decide if I'm being literal or metaphoric).Comment -

#34Indio, I refuse to even "reply with quote" to your garbage. Your last paragraph reflects your education and character.
I'm a punk kid, you idiot. I am probably 25 years older than you son. And I have more advanced degrees than you have teeth. More university credits than you have brain cells and obviously a better grasp of history and American politics. And the grunting about liberals good and conservatives bad no not so much. But progressives policy have almost always been correct and the garbage you believe has almost alway been wrong. You don't need examples, you probably do because your knowledge of past political facts is very lacking.
"A lot of things we can fault conservatives" the only phrase you wrote that is correct. Let me give you just one nugget of knowledge, just one. The conservatives of the day in the late 40's and early 50's set the stage for the cold war, you didn't know that did you. Of course not you think it was all the fault of the "big bad communists" Learn some real history your ignoramus, you bought into the bs the conservatives tossed and you still haven't learned the truth. That stage setting led us into all the nonsense wars we fought against a way of life "communism" that had no chance of succeeding at all. All the dead Americans and other innocent people lay at the feet of conservative bs philosophy which was wrong then and is wrong still. The CIA through subterfuge and dirty tricks and out right illegal actions sold a bill of goods to presidents, congress, media and everybody else that simply was bs, and this is even admitted by some of the very agents that perpetrated this fraud. You sir are a moron. A huge fcking moron!
I almost never reply to morons so you can consider this your one reply.Comment
