I have the the most modern high speed CPU processor along with the best available cable connection. Yeah, i've blocked all the pop-ups that I can.

Yet, it takes forever for any site to load due to all the graphics, images, pictures, ads, etc. that I have no desire to see.

Is there a better Internet somewhere?

Use Firefox or Chrome with ad blockers.

Clean your system once a week or so with MalwareBytes and/or SuperAntiSpyware, if you visit some shady sites.

Reset your modem and router, then go to test your connection speed at a place like www.speedtest.net to see if your getting what you paid for. If not, call your cable company, you could have lose connections at the street to your modem somewhere.

1st, write down all your passwords where you frequent the most.
2nd, At the top of your home page, there should be a tools icon.
3rd, click on internet options
4th, Delete Temp files, history, cookies and saved passwords
5th, Go to the Advanced tap, click on Restore advanced settings and Reset default condition
6th, restart your computer

I use the free anti virus software, AVAST for years and it works excellent. When you get it, scan your computer for viruses.
