When was the last time you mailed an actual regular mail letter?
For me its been about 3 years

Regular mail is completely pointless in today's world...driving to a mailbox and buying stamps and waiting 5 days for a letter to get there (if it doesnt get lost) for 50 cents or whatever they charge vs 5 seconds for the same letter to get there for free from home with the click of a mouse doesnt make much sense

Birthday cards from grandparents are about the only cards that I get thru the mail, but it still is necessary if you have to send physical objects, which is why the USPS is F'ed.

i love the usps. i buy and sell stuff on ebay all the time and get packages delivered promptly all the time. its so easy these days. just print out the address labels and pay the post office online. you dont have to go to the post office any more.

For some reason, Universities and some government rebate applications need mailing still. Don't know why, kind of a hassle and pointless in the age of filling out forms online and such

There is a generation and a half of people who have never mailed a letter, bought a stamp, or had a need for the post office. Yet anytime it is time to close a post office there is plenty of hell raised to save our post office. go figure.

Generation and a half? That's a bit of a stretch, I don't think online billing was too popular during the 90s.

3 days ago, mailed in my ballot.

Also, wedding invitations a few months back.

Last time before that was probably a check to the electric company well over 4 years ago.

Talk to any preppy college student and ask them if they know anything other than email and text and you will see what I mean

I see no point in regular mail anymore...its just stupid when you can instantly email it for free

No need to receive or pay bills through the mail anymore, email me the bill and I pay it online

For some reason they still deliver reg mail 6 days a week when they could deliver the junk mail ads and shit once a month and be fine

I send off the city water and sewer bill each month. It's the only letter I send.

Other than that I had to send some court papers this year. I can't remember when I sent a letter other than the city bill before that.

Its nearly unanimous that the USPS regular mail service is absolutely pointless...other than for birthday cards

I am a college student, generation and a half would imply 30+ years, I was being a little nitpicky, I'd say the first all text/email is the kids currently in high school.
