I believe you should always represent yourself, in any capacity, to the best of your ability. It has much less to do with being "too serious" and a lot more to do with having a dignified sense of self-worth.

it's better to listen to their gripes and figure out a way behind closed doors to resolve them. banning is killing the morale which is ultimately bad for business, so everyone pays ultimately.
