Surveillance video has surfaced illustrating how a professional wrestler took matters into his own hands, asserting himself and choking out a drunk and disorderly passenger on a light rail ride on the way to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The wrestler, Shawn Daivari, is a Minnesota native of Persian descent and throughout his career has been depicted as a villain, but in late September, he assumed a hero’s role, putting the unruly passenger in a rear naked choke hold before booting the man, Levin Blair, who was swearing, hurling racist slurs and threatening other passengers, off the train at a later stop.
