    Are you BiPolar - Check-In

Bipolar disorder or bipolar affective disorder (historically known as manic-depressive disorder) is a psychiatric diagnosis for a mood disorder in which people experience disruptive mood swings that encompass a frenzied state known as mania (or hypomania) and, usually, symptoms of depression.

Bipolar disorder is defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated energy levels, cognition, and mood with or without one or more depressive episodes. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes, or symptoms, or a mixed state in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time. These events are usually separated by periods of "normal" mood; but, in some individuals, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, which is known as rapid cycling. Severe manic episodes can sometimes lead to such psychotic symptoms as delusions and hallucinations.

The lifetime prevalence of all types of bipolar disorder is thought to be about 4% (meaning that about 4% of people experience some of the characteristic symptoms at some point in their life). Prevalence is similar in men and women and, broadly, across different cultures and ethnic groups.

Genetic factors contribute substantially to the likelihood of developing bipolar disorder, and environmental factors are also implicated. Bipolar disorder is often treated with mood stabilizing medications and Psychotherapy. In serious cases, in which there is a risk of harm to oneself or others, involuntary commitment may be used. These cases generally involve severe manic episodes with dangerous behavior or depressive episodes with suicidal ideation. There are widespread problems with social stigma, stereotypes, and prejudice against individuals with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. People with bipolar disorder exhibiting psychotic symptoms can sometimes be misdiagnosed as having schizophrenia.

The current term bipolar disorder is of fairly recent origin and refers to the cycling between high and low episodes (poles). The term "manic-depressive illness" or psychosis was coined by German psychiatrist Emil Kraepelin in the late nineteenth century, originally referring to all kinds of mood disorder. German psychiatrist Karl Leonhard split the classification again in 1957, employing the terms unipolar disorder (major depressive disorder) and bipolar disorder.

Common signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder include mania (feeling extremely high-spirited, energetic, or irritable) and depression (feeling deeply sad or low).

Please, BiPolar disorder? This shit is just a made up disease in order for BigPharm to sell you pills, who you think runs this country? They teach everyone this bullshit to try to make them believe they need some sort of pill in order to balance them out.

Its called life people, their are HIGHs and LOWs and ITS FREAKING NORMAL, you dont need a freaking pill, prescribed by a doctor who diagnosis is based on WHAT YOU SAY! I have a lot of buddies struggling with pill addictions living down here in florida and its the saddest thing to see, because they all think THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM, they literally believe THEY NEED THESE PILLS because a doctor says so! stop being so naive, in very few cases their are people who actually need PSYCHIATRIC MEDICINE, but WAY WAY WAY MORE TOO OFTEN THAN NOT, I see normal ass kids buying into this propaganda

they first tried it with ADHD, in the 90's, although it didnt catch on very well, and all the kids taking Ritalin ended up having more problems then the ones that didnt take anything,

BigPharm Industry appreciates your business though and thanks you for sharing this information on BI-POLAR DISORDER!

Truth is that drugs/nueroscience/brain-function is a relatively UNKOWN recipe. No two people are the same, you give one drug, that blocks a certain brain receptor for one person, caused him to act a certain way, but then when you give same pill to someone else, they could act completely different, their "testing" isnt very extensive and any time a new drug comes out, theres a TON of people looking to market in any way they can, theres so much money in it that they dont give a flying fukk what it does to the average joe, not to mention LONG TERM, many often times their "testing" is a couple weeks or months long, but people are prescribed these same drugs for year and years, and even the remainder of their lives.....

FDA is a big part of this corruption, new laws/legislation has made it illegal for class-action lawsuits to be taken against any pharm co. drug that is FDA approved, this in term has driven up the bid prices for FDA (companies pay for their drugs to get looked at) then FDA runs some tests on animals, then humans, then if theirs no "dangerous effects" they put their approval on it and out it goes into the market, the Feds are just one big giant Mafia group that control it all, generations before us, have had the idea that the US gov't is the ultimate good, that they would never do anything to do to harm the public, that they exist for the benefit of the people, now it may have been true at one time, but the FEDS have grown SO BIG AND SO POWERFUL , that CORRUPTION has taken over.....

sad thing to see in this day and age
