    12 Disappointing facts about Music
Buzzfeed, wife just read them to me. I'm crying

    some lowlights for Brock Landers

    1. Creed has sold more records in the US than Jimi Hendrix

    3. Ke$ha's “Tik-Tok” sold more copies than ANY Beatles single

    5. The Black Eyed Peas' “I Gotta Feeling” is more popular than any Elvis or Simon & Garfunkel song

    8. Katy Perry holds the same record as Michael Jackson for most number one singles from an album

    10. People actually bought Billy Ray Cyrus' album “Some Gave All…” 20 million people. More than any Bob Marley album

    11. The cast of “Glee” has had more songs chart than the Beatles

I guess the lesson is that, people consume alot more music globally now and comparing these numbers is like comparing Bond's HR records to pre babe-ruth HR king..... Home Run Baker's records....

its just alot easier now in some ways

To be fair, there were about half as many people on the planet when the Beatles and Hendrix were making records.

A hip-hop "artist" could say the word "shawty" every 5 to 10 seconds while playing any Led Zeppelin or Beatles song and most people under the age of 30 would think it's a brand new song and it's brilliant.

I can see it now... "Shawty be Buying the Stairway to Heaven" becomes most popular song of all time.
