#2So you've apparently found the fish house, yet you are inviting strong players over to it. That's brilliant.Comment -

#8Lol...i call preflop raises with strange hands like J-9 suited when i play poker on SBR. I wouldn't call the play terrible or anything, it's just odd...guys will play tight for 20 minutes and then go all in with a pair of deuces n whatnot.Comment -

#14Exactly, there is not enough sharks here to make a difference there. Further, I have been playing 100NL, 200 NL, and 400 NL and the best money to be made is at 100NL and 50NL, as these stakes seem to be where most of the recreational gamblers like to play at. If 5dimes gets more traffic, there might be some softer games at the higher stakes, but right now the higher stake tables are mostly players playing by the book and your only real hope is that one of them gets cracked to soften 'em up before you're that guy...really, there's no money to be made there. Also, 5dimes has structured many of its tables so that you have to buy-in with a short stack, which means if you can grind away and nearly double your buy-in, the game's even more profitable with the blinds dictating so much action.Comment -

#17there are few guaranteed tournaments with hardly anyone playing in them. There are no sit'n'go running above $10...so that's disappointing.Comment -

I remember 5dimes software having that awful 3d stuff to it. The recent incarnation (last year) is much much better. Still not great but not insta-tiltingComment -

EDIT: yeah wrong software company name. they use that shitty cheap system that bookmaker and some other books use for poker. with the 10 or so avatars you can choose from, looks like it was drawn in a highschool graphic design class.
i guess i didnt mean cake- i meant that.Comment -

#21One of the easiest poker sessions I have had in a while. Won 4 buy-ins playing shorthanded and with no double-ups. Was the most orthodox session I have ever played and the fish just kept paying.Comment
