Watching GSN and watching High Stakes Poker and there's a commercial for ClubWPT.com where you play for sweepstakes type of money and prizes for $19.95 per month. Legal in US.
Anyone ever tried it?

I assume that the membership fees is the extent of the prizes so I can't see how you could offer such a site without small prizes and huge fields...

I was looking through the T&C to see what you required to do get the Las Vegas Advisor coupon book... Looks like, to be considered a sweepstakes, they have to offer free membership...
For each period that you want to participate in Club tournaments, each player must send a 3 inch x 5 inch card on which the player has legibly handwritten their Username, First and Last Name, Complete Mailing Address (e.g. Street, City, State, ZIP code), Email Address, and Date of Birth. Each card must be placed in a single separate envelope, and mailed to 5700 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 350, Los Angeles, CA 90036. Multiple cards in a single envelope are not acceptable. If multiple cards are sent in a single envelope only one card chosen in our sole discretion, will be processed. Kentucky residents may request postage reimbursement by writing "Please reimburse postage" on the 3 inch x 5 inch card. Reimbursement will be in the form of one first-class U.S. Postal Service postage stamp. No photocopies, reproductions or facsimiles of the 3 inch x 5 inch card are allowed. The usage of a service to provide the production of the 3 inch x 5 inch card will not be allowed.
Pretty amazing that a company could be profitable charging $20 a month (and given back a portion of that back in prizes) for something they also required to give away for free...

they have 2 or 3 weekly 1000 prizes. they did give a 25 k seat away for a wpt tourney a few weeks ago. lot of the tourneys are for vino cigars or satellete boot camps. they have a few 100 dollar a day and a couple 500 a week. you get 500 points per day that refresh to 500 the next day. the 1000 tourney and other big ones are 400 points. for 10 20 and 100 dollar tourneys you can expect 800-2000 people in it. there was 5600 in the 25 k seat and most 1000 tourneys have 3700-4500 people. it sucks because they usually only pay out 4-5 spots so its like 35 +300 points for first 25 +200 points for second and 4 10 dollar. i like the free blackjack tourneys. Usually its just a all in fest. It was really boring but try it out just join and put in season6. you have 4 weeks to cancel. Also when you win it takes like 4-5 weeks to get you a check for 10 bucks hehe

its a joke for people in the country that live 100's of miles away from any game and they just want action of ANY kind
