Pokerstars "The Big Game" - Any info?

Hi Guys,

I made it through the 3 rounds of freerolls and into the cast pool for the show. Apparently you have to submit an audition video.

FYI, there were a few US players still in the Round 3 tourney on Sunday, I guess because it was a freeroll and these guys did not have real money accounts.

Anyway, I still have a Round 2 ticket for this coming Saturday but I just noticed that the round 2 tourney was canceled.

I am concerned there will be a larger cancellation of the entire game and the freerolls will be for not.

Does anybody have any additional/inside information on this?

I am Canadian. I am able to play on all of the sites still. There were a few US folks in the Round 3 freeroll on Sunday (after Black Friday).

I believe US players can still play freerolls.

Thanks. I still cannot get a clear answer from Pokerstars support but as of this morning all Big Game tourneys have been cancelled (i.e. deleted). It seems pretty clear it is done.

I saw today that all tv shows concerning online poker EXCEPT the WSOP will be shut down

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been forced to bring The Big Game television show to an unexpected close. This is more than likely a temporary measure but it wouldn’t be fair for us to provide qualification tournaments to a show that may not be broadcast.

As you were registered for a Big Game qualifier we have now set up 2 special $500 freerolls only for you and your fellow Big Gamers. Here’s how it works:

• If you were registered in a Big Game Round 2 qualifier you will find 1 ticket in your account.

• If you made it to a Big Game Final Round qualifier you will find 2 tickets in your account.


With these tickets you can register for either or both of our BG $500 Invitational freerolls, taking place on Sunday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 4.

The tourney ids are 387006431 & 387006617 and you can locate them under the Tourney > Private tab.

On top of that, if the Big Game qualifiers start up again we’ll also make sure to enter you back in the qualifying round you were registered in originally.

Once again, we apologise for this, and we hope to bring you some good news regarding the show in the future.

LOL, no, I am batting 0.... I went out first in the tourney today. flopped a little flush but the villian's AA was also a flush draw and if got there... :-(
