    WSOP Europe Moving to France
The World Series of Poker Europe is going continental. For the first time, the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe will be moving away from London and will take place in France, marking the first change in venue in the five year history of the event.
The 2011 WSOPE will be held in Cannes, at two different venues: the Casino Barrière de Cannes Croisette and the Hôtel Majestic Barrière. This will allow the tournament to accommodate 75 tables, giving it twice the capacity that it has previously enjoyed at the Casino of the Empire. The 2011 edition of the WSOPE will feature seven bracelet events, compared to five in 2010.
“This is a unique agreement between two casino leaders with great brands,” an ESPN.com report quoted Mitch Garber of Caesars Interactive Entertainment as saying. “Lucien Barrière Hôtels & Casinos is a well-run organization and we are excited to work with them to access the French market with high-quality and reputable poker events both in their hotels and casinos, and online with BarrierePoker.fr.”
In addition to the hosting arrangements for the WSOPE, the two brands will also be cooperating in the development of the Barriere Poker Tour, a regional tour that will feature eight different stops throughout France. Tour events will be held in Toulouse, Nice, Lille, Dinard, Enghien, Trouville, Bordeaux, and will finish up in Cannes with the WSOPE.
