    Bots at Pokerstars
I have played there for a long time and have dealt with the bot play, you can usually take advantage of the play if you are patient. It's just gotten ridiculous anymore with the bots. I pointed out 2 players to Pokerstars Security and the best they could respond with is 'we'll investigate but we cannot provide you with specifics'..

Its become sad anymore, online poker ring play is just so shady anymore. sad..

you probably are mistaking these "bots" with players who are multi-tabling 10+ tables who don't have the time to talk.

exactly wiggums5, i bet these people are just trying to play as many tables as possible and don't care about the one you are playing at.. anyways there is no way you can prove that a user is a bot...sucks

lotta players multi-tabling probably don't see you chat, and some refuse to chat. Neurotic about giving out any information, of which they consider chatting to be.

While limit-holdem could be "solved" to a certain extent with a computer writing a competent no-limit robot would be tough, but not impossible. Give it the poker equivalent of a turing test and whip it.

Tilt banned the use of bots recently, so I imagine most of those users flocked to other locations. Bodog has a few and doesn't seem to care, I can't say I know the amount if any on Stars. There is a way you can identify a bot, but it's a lot more complex than "they don't chat".

I'll tell you something, and this is facts. I bought a bot, about maybe 1 1/2 years ago or ??. I think it cost me $139.00 or something like that. This was for I think 1 year license. Anyway I tried it on several site and when the license was due, I did not make enough money to re-new the license. So much for that method.

You can google poker bots and find many for sale online. But I think you can beat bots if you are patient.

a site like stars dont need bots tho they make so much money daily there is no need for them to use bots or cheat in any way , altho it is possible that shady shit goes on at alot of online poker sites but i believe stars to be the safest , they have banned numerous cheaters and multi accounters and underage phenoms from their site

there are bots but most of them are losing bots. In order to form a successful bot, millions of small calculations have to be entered as code and that is simply to hard for the average human to do. There are a few winning bots, but they are so rare and scarce that it isnt even worth our time

i was doing some reading on the topic/
it really afect the way poker on line is concern, and acording to one sitem is estimated that 25% of the on line play is done with bots.
this can probably explain some wire calls i got all along and the big difference between live casino poker and on line game

Agreed. Maybe bots could be decent at limit poker but no limit is a much tougher computer science problem.
