You can play if you are outside of the state at the time. Proxy will work then I guess.

I guess I fail to see how it benefits a company like Full Tilt to do this.

This is just the start boys other states are gonna be following. Online poker in USA is doomed.

I think online poker can exist in this limbo for a while, and that is where it will stay...politicians don't want to push it either way, I don't think.

I'm not that familiar with what is going on because it hasn't affected me, but the scary thing is that other states could follow Washington's lead. Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma, New Jersey to name a few are all states with casinos who could feel "threatened" by internet gambling. Kentucky tried to pass something like this, and to my knowledge, it failed.

to me it should boil down to freedom for adults to do whatever they want as long as it is not hurting anybody else.

While the republicans are indeed 100% responsible for the heinous UIGEA law, its important to note that the democrats had 2 FULL YEARS to overturn the law and it never even came up for a vote.

The point is the democrats don't care about poker players either.

That's messed up. It's not legal for Full Tilt to operate anywhere in the US. Why only obey the law in Washington State? Don't get me wrong; I'm glad it's not New York.

This law targets the user, not the site. To me, this just proves that the politicians that support this, do not understand the basic concept of personal freedom. It really is sad.

This is a good article on the subject: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker...ary&id=5808565

                                  Cheers.

This seams as crazy as the song downloading laws that were passed some years back 10k for each bet you make? We need the big compaies to fight this with the might of the money backing they have. Idividuals lack tthe means to fight this effectively.

The government should focus on putting a gaming commision online more than anything. And make sure to get rid of the god ******* awful RNG.
